LifeServe Blood Center asks donors spare just one hour and ensure lifesaving blood is available when someone needs it.
According to LifeServe, the organization often sees dips in blood donations due to blood donors’ busy summer schedules. “From outdoor fun to weddings and vacations, people are busy. Hospital patients are unable to reschedule their need for transfusions, however, so we’re asking that donors spare just one hour ad ensure blood is on the shelf when someone needs it,” a LifeServe press release states.
One donation can impact three families.
Community blood drives are scheduled Tuesday, June 12, from 12:30 to 5:3 pm at the First Presbyterian Church (note change from usual location); and Friday, June 22, from 2:30 to 6 pm at the Grand Junction Community Center.
